Bali KPU Reminds Elected Celegs Who Don't Deposit LHKPN Can Be Replaced

The Bali Provincial General Election Commission (KPU) reminded members of the elected council as a result of the 2024 General Election to immediately submit a state administrator's wealth report (LHKPN).

Chairman of the Bali Provincial KPU I Dewa Agung Gede Lidartawan said, if it is not deposited no later than 21 days before the inauguration, his position will be replaced.

"We always remind that because when we don't submit the LHKPN, we will change the elected candidates," he said, Thursday, July 11.

Lidartawan said that until now, only two candidates for the Bali Provincial DPRD have deposited LHKPN, while in regencies/cities almost all of them have met the requirements before being inaugurated.

"In regencies/cities, many have 100 percent, especially those with the end of their term of office on August 5, almost all of them, but for the provinces where in the end September 1, only two from the Democratic Party have submitted to us," he said.

The Bali Provincial KPU suspects that the elected DPRD candidates collect their wealth reports to political parties to be paid up at once, especially considering that if they look for the final limit, they will still remain until early August to convey it.

Lidartawan said that the slow pace of candidates for council members should not be due to procedural procedures, because they do not have to show whether the LHKPN is accepted or not is enough to show proof of its delivery to the KPK.

"You don't have to accept a confirmation letter when it has been ratified, the important thing is their intention, even if the KPK has not approved it, it's not their fault," he said.

The chairman of the Bali Provincial KPU also understands that it will not take long to manage LHKPN, especially for Bali DPRD candidates who have carried out the same process, so they are asked to immediately complete their obligations.

"It wasn't long before the process, I took care of it for only two days, just one day it was finished because I didn't have many certificates, especially when the former member had often just had to update and add more," he said.
