The Wantimpres Bill Is Targeted To Be Completed In This Period, The Speaker Of The House Of Representatives: If It Is Not Allowed, The New President Will Be Signed

JAKARTA - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, said that the revision of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) Law which had just been approved as a bill proposed by the DPR initiative is targeted to be completed by the end of this period.

Puan said that later if the Wantimpres Bill was passed into law on the Supreme Advisory Council (DPA), President Joko Widodo would sign it before it stepped down.

"What is certain is that if it is possible to finish, if possible, yes. If there is one month then the president will sign the law before the current term of office of the president ends," said Puan, Thursday, July 11.

However, if it is not possible, said Puan, then the Perppu will be signed by Prabowo Subianto after being inaugurated as the new president.

"But if it is not possible, of course, the next president after October 20 will sign, so we will see if it is possible or not," explained Puan.

"So we are waiting for the next trial, which will be opened on August 16," he concluded.
