BPJS Employment Releases Financial Report 2023, Here's The Achievement

JAKARTA - BPJS Ketenagakerjaan officially released the 2023 Auditan Financial Report and Program Management Report (LK-LPP) audited by the Public Accounting Office (KAP) Amir Abadi Jusuf, Aryanto, Mawar & Partner, by again successfully pocketing the opinion of WTM (Unmodified Prison). The report was also declared in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 108 of 2013.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Muhammad Zuhri appreciated the audit results which according to him could not be separated from commitment and consistency in overseeing the audit process properly.

"The WTM predicate obtained is proof that the Financial Report and Management Report of the BPJS Employment Program have been presented in accordance with applicable regulations," said Zuhri, in his statement, Wednesday, July 10.

"We, the Supervisory Board, also always encourage through suggestions, advice and considerations to the Board of Directors and management to continue to innovate in order to improve service quality, optimize investment yields and in particular increase membership coverage," he added.

Meanwhile, the President Director of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Anggoro Eko Cahyo in his written statement said that the publication of the report was part of transparency and accountability.

"The publication of this report is part of the responsibility and disclosure of information to the public, as well as proof of the management of clean, accountable funds and in accordance with applicable financial accounting standards," said Anggoro.

During 2023, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan managed to record good participation growth, where the Non ASN Workers sector, vulnerable workers and workers in the village ecosystem became the largest contributor sector. If the accumulated number reaches 14.5 million participants or grows 44.96 percent compared to 2022. So that the total number of active BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants at the end of 2023 exceeded 41.56 million.

This growth is a strong synergy with all stakeholders in optimizing the implementation of the employment social security program according to Presidential Instruction No. 2 of 2021.

The BPJS Employment managed fund which also increased by 13.48 percent. As of December 31, 2023, the figure reached IDR 712.3 trillion.

Anggoro said that the workers' funds were managed and developed with the precautionary principle to provide optimal development results. In terms of benefit payments, throughout 2023 BPJS Ketenagakerjaan paid 4.58 million claims worth Rp53.51 trillion, including scholarship benefits worth Rp346 billion for 91,050 cases.

The number of claims has increased based on a significant increase compared to last year in the payment of JKP benefits which entered the implementation of the second year, payment of pension benefits and ongoing scholarships.

"The benefits of scholarships are a form of guarantee from the state through BPJS Ketenagakerjaan so that the younger generation can still get a decent education after being left behind by their parents. Thus, it is hoped that they can form superior human resources as workers who *Emas Free Work* towards *Indonesia Emas 2045*", said Anggoro.

To improve service quality, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan presents new designs in all branch offices, optimizes the Jamsostek Mobile (JMO) Application, and cooperates with 7,104 Job Accident Service Centers (PLKK). BPJS Ketenagakerjaan also opens 64 PMI special service channels in the country as well as 3 representation channels in Taiwan, South Korea, and Brunei Darussalam.

At the end of his statement, Anggoro hopes that in the future the collaboration and synergy that has been well developed can continue to be improved so that the participation coverage can continue to grow sustainably.
