OJK Launches Guidelines For Cybersecurity In ITSK Ecosystem
JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) launched the Cyber Security Guidelines (Cybersecurity Guidelines) specifically designed for Financial Sector Technology Innovation Operators (ITSK) to support the development of the ITSK ecosystem. "This guideline includes reactive and proactive strategies to ensure the crucial part of the ITSK ecosystem," said OJK Executive Chief Executive Supervisor of Financial, Financial Asset Technology Innovation, and Crypto Assets (IAK) Hasan Fawzi quoting Antara. Implementation of a cybersecurity framework in the ITSK sector is expected to be a protection mechanism that can be used in minimizing disturbances on aspects of availability (availability), integrity (integrity), and confidentiality (confidentiality) on data and information managed by ITSK organizers in cyberspace.The proof of the financial sector, including ITSK, will continue to be the main target of cyberattack and is very vulnerable if it does not implement an effective and responsive cyber security and security framework. Cybersecurity guidelines for ITSK organizers include data protection, risk management, incident response, training, training and awareness by prioritizing the principles of collaboration and information exchange. By following these guidelines, stakeholders in ITSK organizations can contribute to a more secure and resilient digital financial environment in Indonesia. These guidelines are structured with the support of the British Embassy (British Embasssy) through the UK Government cyber capacity-building program. The launch of the guidelines is also in line with the mandate of Law Number 4 of 2023 concerning Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector governing that one of the principles of the ITSK industry is the application of security and reliability of information systems, including security and cyber security and resilience. Therefore, OJK expects support from all stakeholders in the Indonesian financial sector to implement a security framework and cyber security robustness.

In addition, the OJK continues to strengthen its commitment to increasing the literacy and competence of its employees related to cybersecurity, through the Cyber Bootcamp activity specifically for OJK employees which is also a collaboration with the British Embassy (British Embassy). Cyber Bootcamp is an intensive training program designed to equip OJK employees with practical knowledge and skills in dealing with various cybersecurity threats. "Through this Cyber Bootcamp, it is hoped that it can improve the capabilities of OJK employees in identifying, preventing, and responding to increasingly sophisticated and complex cyber attacks," Hasan said.
