Apple Prepares IPad Mini 7: Comes With All-Display Design And High Performance

JAKARTA - Apple has quietly confirmed the development of a new device that is touted as a 'game-changer' by iOS users. A coding expert found clues on Apple's software backend showing the company was working on the iPad mini 7.

Unlike the iPhone updated every year, the iPad mini last got an update in 2021. However, the iPad mini 6 released in the same year became the second most popular tablet after the Pro model.

Although Apple has not officially confirmed this new device, industry experts predict the iPad mini 7 will have an 8.3-inch all-display design, including a front camera and an iPhone 15-class chip.

Nicolwasilvarez recently discovered data in Apple software showing a new product is under development, revealing that the iPad mini 7 will support mobile and Wi-Fi connections.

The report also mentions that this new tablet will reduce 'jelly scrolling', a problem where text and images on one side of the screen appear downward tilted, which iPad users often complain about. Apple is expected to fix this by designing the device to automatically customize and rotate according to the way users hold the device.

Experts also predict that Apple will add some of the iPad's newest features to mini models, such as a front camera launched in May with a redesigned iPad Air. The iPad mini 7 is also likely to support the Pencil Pro which was released in May.

Pencil Pro allows users to perform various tasks by pressing and playing to record, tagging images, and creating digital works. The barrel roll feature allows users to play pens for precision control on pen and brush tools.

This device is also equipped with a haptic feedback and a prover feature, which allows users to write, draw, and illustrate without touching Pencil to the iPad. If Apple stays with the latest iPad design, users can also view a thin iPad mini to date.

According to MacRumors, Apple fans can see the release of the iPad mini at the end of this year, around September or October. While there is no information about the price yet, the current iPad mini 6 starts at 350 US dollars (IDR 5.6 million)
