Arsenal Plans To Transfer Goalkeepers To Their Own Academy Dropouts
JAKARTA - Arsenal are planning a surprise transfer for the former goalkeeper who left 15 years ago.
Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Dan Bentley is a graduate of Arsenal's academy. Now, he has the opportunity to go home to Emirates.
The Gunners want Bentley as a coater for his former Brentford team-mate, David Raya.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper is actually not the main choice in Wolves either. He only played for Jose Sa and made just five appearances in the Premier League last season.
Arsenal goalkeeper Gary O'Neil is looking for a new substitute. Bentley is an option next to Kasper Schmeichel.

Bentley may like moving to Arsenal even though it's a third option. You see, apart from Raya, Arsenal still has Aaron Ramsdale.
Arsenal already intends to release Ramsdale. However, the 50 million price tag made the England national team goalkeeper empty of interest.
Meanwhile, Bentley is a former Arsenal academy star who left the club at the age of 15. He later joined Southend in 2009.
Bentley has defended several clubs, including Brentford and Bristol City, before signing a contract with Wolves in January 2023.
Bentley has since been a coating for Jose Sa, making just nine appearances in 18 months at Molineux.
However, he managed to record three clean-sheets across the match and played 67 minutes against Arsenal in December 2023.
Apart from Raya and Ramsdale, Mikel Arteta also has Estonian international Karl Hein, among his choices.
The 22-year-old, who has made only one appearance in the first team, is entering his final year of contract this summer.
Meanwhile, Schmeichel is currently free of transfer after leaving Anderlecht at the end of June 2024.
Nottingham Forest has also been linked with the veteran goalkeeper's move in recent weeks.
He made 284 top appearances for Leicester and Manchester City before joining French club Nice, in 2022.
Schmeichel has just captained Denmark at Euro 2024, playing in all of their matches.
