Ancestor kebo bule is a favorite animal or clanenan Paku Buwono (PB) II. At that time, the palace was still in Kartasura which is located about 10 kilometers towards the current heavy palace.

According to the Surakarta Kasunanan Palace representative, Yosodipuro, the ancestors of buffalo foreigners were gifts from Kyai Hasan Beshari Tegalsari Ponorogo. The prize was given to PB II when he had just returned from Pondok Tegalsari after the Geger Pacinan incident which announced the Kartasura Palace.

Kebo bule is always removed from the cage to be mistaken every night of 1 Suro. Suro's night in the Javanese calendar is the same as the night of the taggal 1 Muhamaram based on the Hijri calendar. When preparing for the 1 Suro heirloom procession, these buffalo will be treated specially. They were given jasmine flower necklaces and treated with sweet potatoes before the carnival started. The Caucasians will be taken around the menawal of a number of sacred heirlooms belonging to the Surakarta Kasunanan Palace. This kirab ritual is held every year on the night of 1 Suro and takes place at midnight. Usually the implementation of the carnival is carried out starting around 00.00 WIB - 01.00 WIB.

This buffalo kirab is carried out by the palace family and courtiers. They will walk the buffalo around the palace environment. On the road that is passed by the procession of kebo bule and heirlooms, the people of Solo will spill over on the road watching the carnival.
