Is This The Latest Galaxy Ring Price Leak, Mahal?

JAKARTA - Samsung is rumored to be releasing its first Galaxy Ring on July 10. However, recent reports suggest that the price of this device will be more expensive than previously thought.

According to a report from France's WinFuture and Deals portal Dealabs, the official recommended price for the Samsung Galaxy Ring in France is 449 euros (Rp7.9 million). This means the US price could range from 350 to 400 US dollars (Rp5.6-6.5 million), much higher than the initial estimate of only 300 US dollars (Rp4.8 million).

In comparison, the Galaxy Ring's main competitor, Oura Ring, went on sale at a price of 299 US dollars in the US and 399 euros in Europe. If this price leak is correct, the Galaxy Ring will debut in the US at a higher price, which is between 350 and 400 US dollars, compared to lower initial expectations.

It should be noted that although the Oura Ring starts at a price of 299 US dollars, the price could go up to 550 US dollars depending on style and color. In addition, Oura requires an annual subscription of around 70 US dollars to access all health insights.

In contrast, the Galaxy Ring will likely not charge users a subscription fee, at least in the first year. This could be one of the reasons why the initial price was higher. However, Samsung has hinted that some Samsung Health and Galaxy AI features may be offered through future subscription models.

Despite this justification, higher starting prices could make some early adopters and Samsung fans disappointed hoping for a more competitive price against Oura Ring.

In addition to prices, the report also states that the Galaxy Ring will be available in nine sizes (5 to 13) and three colors (black, silver, and gold). The device is rumored to be going on sale in France and Europe on July 19, so we can expect a similar release schedule for the US.

Samsung offers $50 credit to those who order the Galaxy in advance, as well as a bundle of offerings with savings of up to 1500 US dollars.
