There Has Been No Follow-up To Zhang Zhi Jie's Body, PBSI Is Still Waiting For A Family Decree
Until now, the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) is still waiting for the decision of Zhang Zhi Jie's family regarding the repatriation of the body of the young Chinese athlete.Even though it is currently known that Zhang Zhi Jie's brother has been in Indonesia since July 2 with representatives of the Chinese Badminton Association (CBA). Meanwhile, the mother arrived two days later accompanied by Sports Administration administrator Zhejiang College of Sport where Zhang Zhi Jie took shelter.This is known from the official statement of PBSI, according to them, until now the audience continues to be carried out by the family and related parties, such as the tournament doctor, RSPAU doctor dr. Suhardi Hardjolukito, and dr. Sardjito.However, until now the family has not made a decision about Zhang Zhi Jie's body."To this day, we still have not received a decision from Zhang Zhi Jie's family for the next step," the statement was quoted as saying on Sunday, July 7."We hope that within 1-2 days, we have received a decision regarding what the family wants to do to the body," the statement continued.Zhang Zhi Jie's body is still at Dr. Sardjito Hospital, Sleman, Yogyakarta. On Thursday, July 4, dr. Sardjito stated that he was still waiting for the family's decision.
Zhang Zhi Jie passed away on Sunday, June 30 evening after collapsing in a mixed team match at the 2024 Asia Junior Championship which took place at the Among Rogo Sports Hall, Yogyakarta.
