JAKARTA - The West Sumatra (West Sumatra) Police Chief Inspector General Suharyono admitted that he had no problem with the statement by the Padang Legal Aid Institute (LBH) which stated that the police had obscured the case of the death of a student at SMP Afif Maulana.
He only emphasized that Afif Maulana's victim died not because of being mistreated by his members. However, due to jumping from the Kuranji Bridge, the height reached 18 meters.
Moreover, the statements of several witnesses and evidence showed that the victim died from jumping from the Kuranji bridge, Padang.
"That's LBH's right. I've explained from the start. AM (Afif Maulana) jumped after a while inviting Adhitya to jump," said Suharyono when confirmed, Sunday, July 7.

Previously, the LBH Padang Advocacy Coordinator, Diki Rafiqi, firmly stated that the discovery of the Afif photo had nothing to do with the alleged torture case committed by police officers.
