"We ask tourists not to swim on the coast, because the waves are quite high," Erwin said when contacted in Rangkasbitung, Lebak, Sunday, July 7, was confiscated by Antara. Based on reports from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geological Agency (BMKG) since several days the height of the southern coastal wave of Banten ranged from 2.5 to 4.0 meters. The Lebak Balawista has conveyed this information to tourism managers, lodging, volunteers, fishermen, pokdarwis (tourism awareness groups), Koramil, Polsek, managers of Fish Auction Places (TPI) and other parties.
Tourists are prohibited from swimming around the southern coast of Banten starting from Bagedur Beach, Binuangeun, Suka Hujan, Cihara, Cibobos, Panggarangan, Bayah, Pulomanuk and Sawarna, because it is feared that there will be a sea accident due to high waves of up to 4.0 meters. "We hope that tourists comply with the ban, so as not to cause marine accidents," said Erwin.

However, currently the southern coast of Banten is quite dangerous, he said, especially if you swim during high waves. Balawista Lebak Regency is on standby to carry out surveillance in the coastal tourist attraction area by alerting dozens of personnel and adding danger signs in areas prone to sea accidents. His party also appealed to parents to always supervise their children while playing around the beach. "We have received reports from several tourists on the southern coast of Banten who were victims of marine accidents and died as a result of being dragged by high waves," said Erwin.
