Gerindra Politicians: Only Contributing SOEs Can Get PMN
Member of Commission VI DPR RI Muhammad Husein Fadlulloh said that the provision of state capital participation (PMN) to state-owned enterprises (BUMN) was able to have a significant impact on the performance of the state-owned corporation so as to increase its contribution to the Indonesian economy.
On that basis, the principle of symbiosis of mutualism must also be applied so that only SOEs are under the Ministry of SOEs and have contributed to the state in the form of dividends that can receive PMN. He added that state-owned companies that receive budget incentives must have a fairly good performance by looking at the increase in the contribution of BUMN dividends which are already much larger than the budget issued.
"So PMN is given to support government programs not to pay debts, or bad credit. The provision of 90 percent PMN is for assignments. Therefore, the first requirement is assignment, the remaining 15-20 percent for corporate actions," he said in a written statement, quoted Friday, July 5.
This was revealed by the Gerindra politician when asked for comment regarding a request from the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) who submitted a state capital participation (PMN) of IDR 10 trillion to overcome bad loans experienced by SOEs under the Ministry of Finance, PT Indonesia/LPEI (Indonesia Eximbank) Export Financing Agency.

Bad credit at LPEI was revealed when the Director General of State Assets of the Ministry of Finance, Rionald Silaban at the Ministry of Finance's Working Meeting with Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Central Jakarta, Monday (1/7) who asked for capital disbursement to finance a special export assignment (PKE) to LPEI for an increase from the capacity of 8 PKE and also the addition of 4 new PKEs.
"In 2023, SOEs have provided large dividends, namely Rp 82.1 trillion, so it is only natural that the restructuring funds for SOEs are mostly used from the dividends they have given to the state. Moreover, outside of dividends, SOEs have also provided taxes according to their obligations to the state so that it is natural and appropriate for PMNs to also be given to SOEs under the Ministry of SOEs alone," he continued.
