Press Air Pollution, PLN UID Jakarta Raya And Central Jakarta Environmental Sub-Department Holds Operational Vehicle Emission Test
JAKARTA In commemoration of World Environment Day, PLN Jakarta Raya's Main Distribution Unit (UID) together with the Central Jakarta City Environment Agency (Jakpus) conducted an operational vehicle emission test. A total of 55 PLN UID Greater Jakarta operational vehicles were declared to have passed the emission test.
General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Lasiran revealed that this emission test was carried out as part of a joint effort to reduce air pollution in Jakarta.
"We are committed to continuing to support the government's efforts to maintain air quality and the environment, and ensure that all operational vehicles meet the emission standards that have been set," said Lasiran, Thursday, July 4.

Head of the Environmental Pollution and Damage Control Section of the Central Jakarta Administrative City Environment Sub-dept., Enrile Indro Prasetyo, appreciated PLN's steps in carrying out this emission test.
"This step shows PLN's strong commitment in maintaining air quality and the environment. We hope this can be an example for other institutions," said Enrique.
According to Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Number 8 of 2023 concerning the Implementation of the Standard for Motor Vehicle Emission Category M, Category N, Category O and Category L, every motorized vehicle operating on the road must meet the requirements of the exhaust gas emission threshold. This provision stipulates that four-wheeled vehicles fueled by gasoline with the year of manufacture 2018 and above must have a Carbon Monoxide (CO) parameter below 0.5 percent and Hydrocarbons (HC) 100 ppm.
As for diesel-fueled four-wheeled vehicles (diesels) with the manufacturing year above 2018, the optimity parameters must be below 40 percent of the Hartridge Smoke Unit or HSU.
