West Sumatra Police Chief Calls Afif Maulana Initiator Brawl, Claims To Have Video Proof
JAKARTA - The West Sumatra Police Chief (West Sumatra) Inspector General Suharyono said Afif Maulana was the initiator of the taruwan action because he invited his colleagues to be involved.
This can be proven by the existence of video recordings found on his cellphone. At that time, Afif appeared to be carrying a long sword.
"AM is a good child? The proof is that he invited a brawl with his video uploaded on his cellphone, carrying a long sword in hand (June 8, 2024 video)," said Suharyono, quoted on Thursday, June 4.
In addition, in the series of deaths of the 13-year-old teenager, Afif was never secured or even taken to the Kuranji Police.
Facts found based on evidence, Afif jumped from the 12 meter high Kuranji Bypass bridge when police officers dispersed the brawl.
"Verification and autopsy according to procedures are carried out by forensic experts from the Bukittinggi Hospital," he said.
Then it was strengthened by the testimony of witnesses who said that Afif invited his colleague to jump away.

"AM's conversation with key witnesses is clear, that AM is inviting him to jump away," said Suharyono.
