China's Mini Cooper Electricity Begins To Be Distributed To Dealers Ahead Of Launch
JAKARTA - Ahead of its scheduled launch on July 6, the Chinese-made Mini Cooper Electricity collaboration with Great Wall Motor (GWM) has begun to be distributed to the dealer network.
According to the Carnewschina page, July 2, this new Mini Cooper has been seen in the dealer network with a distinctive yellow body. The design retains the characteristics of Mini, such as round headlights, oval-shaped grips, and iconic body curves.
This car adopts 17-inch rims with Goodyear tires. This new Mini Cooper Dimension has a length of 3,858 mm, a width of 1,756 mm, and a height of 1,458 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,526 mm.
In the cabin, the Mini Cooper EV is equipped with a large circular OLED screen on the central console. The monitor diameter reaches 9.5 inches and is connected to Mini OS 9. In addition, this car is also equipped with a three-stop steering wheel.

Mini Cooper EV comes in two variants, namely E and SE. Variant E is equipped with an electric motorbike made by Bosch which produces 181 hp of power and uses an NMC SVOLT ternary battery with a capacity of 51.5 kWh. This variant is capable of traveling a distance of up to 456 km. Meanwhile, the SE variant has an electric motor with 214 hp power.
There has been no official price leak for this car, but it is estimated that it will be priced from 210,000 to 270,000 yuan or around IDR 472 to IDR 608 million.
The car was first mass-produced last year and has been launched from an assembly line at a factory in the town of Zhangjiagang, China's Jiangsu Province. The plant has a production capacity of up to 160,000 vehicles per year. The plan, two pure electric Mini models, including three-door Cooper, will be produced there to supply China's international and domestic markets.
