Bank Jatim Expands Binaan MSME Network Through Trade Mission In Bali

JAKARTA - PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) is expanding the network of fostered micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by facilitating them to participate in the Trade and Investment Mission activities initiated by the Provincial Government of East Java and Bali Province.

"MSMEs in East Java are now getting faster and the potential is very large. So far, there have been more than 9 million MSMEs in East Java," said East Java Bank President Director Busrul Iman in Surabaya, East Java, quoted from Antara, Monday, July 1.

Busrul said that his party continues to try to help overcome the problems faced by MSME actors, starting from access to marketing, financing, to assistance.

There were several MSMEs fostered by Bank Jatim that participated in the activity, namely vegetable chips products from SME Ina Chips, knitted bags from SME Raci Crafts, palm coffee from UKM Luwak Dampit Coffee, handicraft products from SME Silhouette Crochet, and leather bags from the SME Shailza Collection.

The superior MSME products in the development of Bank Jatim are expected to be able to provide benefits according to the needs of the people in the Bali area.

East Java Governor Adhy Karyono said East Java and Bali Provinces had made a new history in the Trade Mission because they recorded transactions of more than IDR 425 billion.

"Bali will be the province of the first destination for a trade mission in 2024. We are happy because the spirit of business actors is very high and this is the highest transaction record so far," he said.

In this trade mission, East Java managed to sell various commodities with a total of IDR 301.19 billion, namely fish and shrimp feed, plant seeds, cigarettes, TTG machines, frozen meat, rice, duck meat, fashion products, beef, Dori fillets, octopuses, snacks, fruits, sewing machines, shallots, fertilizers, soybeans, and green capulaga.

Then, East Java bought commodities from Bali worth IDR 123.8 billion covering dry turmeric, coffee beans, fishery, and coconut.

"This trade mission is an event for business actors from East Java and Bali to meet and establish mutually beneficial cooperation. The trade mission is also a good economic opportunity for business actors," said Adhy.
