Sandiaga Uno Makes Sure There Are No Disturbed Services At The Ministry Of Tourism And Creative Economy Imbas PDN Hacked
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) ensures that cyber ransomware attacks at the National Data Center (PDN) do not have an impact on the operations of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
"Regarding our own services at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, we are grateful that no service has been directly affected because we use a different system," said Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno at The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno in Jakarta, Monday, July 1.
The man who is familiarly called Sandi added that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has a different system and safer system resilience. This is evidenced by the award score "Digital Government Award" with the highest value of the 2023 electronic-based government system (SPBE) for the ministry category.
"Because it was reported one month ago that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy had the highest score from the ministry (other) in the implementation of an electronic-based government system," he said.
According to him, the impact of the cyber attack on foreign tourist arrivals (tourists) has not yet been seen. The reason, said Sandi, the number of foreign tourist visits continues to increase.
"So, thank God, we are monitoring it at the three main doors of foreign tourists entering Indonesia, which are still in an increasing situation compared to last year's data and last month," said Sandi.

On the same occasion, the Adyatama of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Nia Niscaya appreciated the steps taken by the Directorate General of Immigration who moved quickly to deal with the problem of accumulating passengers at a number of airports during the hacking of PDN.
"We communicated with immigration friends, this has been resolved with a system that they immediately backuped. Hopefully this will not happen again because it is very uncomfortable," he added.
