Jokowi Orders Police Not To Select Law Enforcement
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi asked the National Police to be professional in their duties and not selective in taking action against an uncriminal actThis was conveyed by Jokowi when he was inspector of the ceremony at the 78th anniversary of Bhayangkara at the Monas Cross, Central Jakarta, Monday, July 1."So that in the future the police must be more agile, have to be more adaptive and have a strategic perspective, must be a colling system and the glue of diversity, must be professional and not selective in law enforcement," said Jokowi.All members of the National Police are also asked to have superior technical abilities from criminals. Thus, they do not have room and opportunity to commit criminal acts in Indonesia."Especially in dealing with increasingly complex and sophisticated transnational crimes, the National Police must also be able to follow the development of i-tech and establish cooperation to strengthen the security of our country," he said.Moreover, the task of the National Police is also very influential on the nation's resilience in facing various challenges and competitiveness in the midst of global competitions.Apart from that, Jokowi was happy with the results of a survey from one of the institutions that placed the National Police as the second-best institution.It is also hoped that this result must be maintained and even improved. Thus, the public will always be satisfied with the performance of the Police in various ways.
"Because the challenges ahead are not getting easier, both in terms of geopolitical, from an economic, technology, climate perspective, everything is getting more complicated and full of uncertainty," said Jokowi.
