Ministry Of Investment: Cyber Attacks Have No Impact On Permit Issuance Services

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) ensures that the business identification number (NIB) issuance service submitted through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system is not affected by cyber attacks at the Temporary National Data Center (PDNS) 2 which was first detected on June 17, 2024. "OSS services are still running normally in the past week until now. But the team remains on guard, ensuring no disturbances may occur in the future," said Special Staff of the Ministry of Investment/BKPM Tina Talisa in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, July 1. He said, his party has carried out periodic evaluations on public services under the auspices of the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, such as the OSS system and the Contact Center, and ensures that these two services are still functioning properly. However, according to him, the Ministry of Investment/BKPM remains vigilant and escorts potential disturbances. "We at the Ministry of Investment carry out routine monitoring and checking to ensure that licensing and services provided to business actors remain optimal. However we continue to monitor if there is a disturbance to the ongoing system," he said. Among them, 30 ministries/agencies, 15 provinces, 148 districts, and 48 cities were directly affected. However, there are 43 agencies that were not affected because their data were only stored as reserves in PDNS 2. This agency consists of 21 ministries/agencies, one province, 18 districts, and three cities.
