JAKARTA - Air quality in Jakarta on Monday 1 July 2024 morning is still categorized as unhealthy and ranks fifth as the worst air city in the world.

The unhealthy category, namely the quality of the air which is detrimental to humans or groups of animals that are sensitive or can cause damage to plants or aesthetic values.
The site also recommends air conditions in Jakarta, namely for the public to avoid outdoor activities. If you are outdoors, wear a mask, then close the window to avoid dirty outside air.
Then from the same data, the worst air quality city in the world was first order, namely Kinshasa (Kongo) at 188, second place in Kumpala (Uganda) at 183, third place in Lahore (Pakistan) at 172 and fourth place was Baghdad (Irak) at 161.
Previously, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono issued Governor's Decree (Kepgub) Number 593 of 2023 concerning the Air Pollution Control Task Force as a policy to accelerate the handling of air pollution.
The scope of the air pollution control task force includes compiling Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Handling Air Pollution in DKI Jakarta Province, controlling air pollution from industrial activities, and monitoring periodic air quality conditions, to health impacts from air pollution.
