Customs And Excise Calls Realization Of Customs Revenue In NTT Lampaui Target

The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) of the Bali Regional Office, West Nusa Tenggara, and East Nusa Tenggara noted that the realization of state revenues in NTT Province has exceeded the target set in 2024.

"Our revenue target is Rp. 14.95 billion, and Rp. 17.48 billion has been realized," said Atambua Customs Head Bambang Tutuko P as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, June 30.

He explained that the NTT regional DJBC acceptance showed positive performance supported by the Customs and Excise sector with an achievement of 116.95 percent of the annual target.

He detailed that the realization of import duties until May 31, 2024, amounted to Rp. 16.52 billion, supported by non-routine imports in the form of rice by Perum Bulog as much as 35,040 MT worth 22.59 million US dollars with a total receipt of Rp. 15.77 billion.

Furthermore, the realization of excise duty amounted to Rp0.96 billion or reached 109.58 percent of the annual target of Rp0.88 billion. The achievement of this target is supported by non-routine receipts of administrative fines in the excise sector with a total value of Rp613 million

"The trend of excise revenue has indeed increased from 0.28 billion in May 2023 to Rp0.96 billion in May 2024," he said.

He conveyed that surveillance efforts were continuously carried out to optimize state revenues.

The Customs and Excise itself has taken five customs action which includes violations of the carrying of lartas goods by border crossers and exports without documents.

The evidence found were 2 sacks of various types of used clothes, 378,000 grams of iris tobacco, 1,980 US dollars in cash, as well as various foods and drinks.

Furthermore, there were 12 times of excise prosecution, including violations of excisable goods that were not attached to excise stamps, or were attached to fake excise stamps with evidence of 19,580 cigarettes of various brands.

He said the estimated value of goods from the results of the prosecution was IDR 1.220 billion, while the potential for state losses reached IDR 338.6 million.
