Turkish Bee Breeder Sends 20 Thousand Honey Toples Aid To Gaza

JAKARTA - A bee farmer from Mugla Province in southwest Turkey sent 20,848 honey jars to Gaza via the Turkish Red Crescent Society on Tuesday this week.

The honey top is prepared for Palestinians living under Israeli oppression in the enclave. It was sent to Mersin Harbor for delivery as part of an initiative led by the Mugla Bee Breeder Association (MAYBIR).

Speaking at a ceremony, Mugla Governor Idris Akbiyik stressed that Mugla's bee breeders were not indifferent to the ongoing genocide, saying he believed human reactions would end the oppression.

"Turkey has become a hope for people who are oppressed around the world. In our hearts, we are a nation in every aspect. The truth will win in this struggle between right and wrong," said Anadolu June 26.

Meanwhile, MAYBIR President Vali Turk emphasized his support for Gaza war victims amid a humanitarian tragedy.

There is also Mufti Mugla Yasar Capci conveying prayers for oppressed people around the world.

Turkey, along with charitable organizations such as the Red Crescent of Turkey, has strongly condemned Israel for its attacks on the populous Gaza region and called for an immediate ceasefire, quoted by the Daily Sabah.

Since the beginning of last year's conflict, Turkey has shipped tens of thousands of humanitarian aid items to the region.
