Crawford Incar Canelo, Boasts That He Can Beat Himself Only Himself

JAKARTA - There have been rumors of Terence "Bud" Crawford eyeing a fight with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez to become the greatest boxer in boxing history.

Unfortunately, many have advised Crawford to cancel his intentions from Amir Khan to Mike Tyson. In fact, Canelo himself was reluctant to face it because he had to go down to class.

But since Crawford made a sensational feat last year by dominating Errol Spence Jr. many think Canelo is a commensurate opponent for the first undisputed champion in two different heavy divisions in the four-belt era.

Now, Crawford's target is only one: the super-middleweight king, Saul Canelo" Alvarez.

Despite having to jump three heavyweights from his last fight, this 36-year-old boxer believes he can face Canelo.

In the Earn Your Leisure podcast, quoted from secondsout.com, June 29, Crawford confidently stated that the only thing that could beat him was himself.

"My mentality always wins in any way. Make sure I'm in 110 percent condition and ready to face whatever the opponent's strategy is. Most importantly, I have to be in the best form when competing, so I don't have to worry about anything else," Crawford said confidently.

"Many are asking 'what do you have to do to win?', and I always answer, 'be myself'. I always say that because I feel like Terence Crawford, and no one can beat me except myself," Crawford continued.

Crawford's first step to pick up Canelo will begin on August 3. He will make his super welterweight (69.8 kg) debut against WBA champion Israil Madrimov in Los Angeles.

Will Crawford succeed in fighting Canelo and become the undisputed cross-division champion? This battle is certainly eagerly awaited by boxing lovers!
