OJK Says Lampung's Economy Grows 3.30 Percent In The 1st Quarter Of 2024
JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) stated that the economy in the Lampung Province showed positive growth.
"Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency, the economy of Lampung Province as of the first quarter of 2024 grew by 3.30 percent compared to the same period in the previous year (year on year/yoy)," said ITSK Supervision Chief Executive, Digital Financial Assets, and OJK Crypto Assets Hasan Fawzi as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 28.
He said this growth occurred in almost all business fields with the highest growth in government administration, defense, and mandatory social security which grew by 14.23 percent.
According to him, this economic acceleration will continue to grow along with the commitment of the Lampung Provincial Government in encouraging the acceleration of the completion of various National Strategic Projects (PSN) in Lampung.
Hasan Fawzi explained that the PSN project which includes the toll road, port, train, industrial area, dam, energy, and clean water and sanitation is predicted to have a positive impact on the Lampung economy.
"Of course there is still a lot of potential and momentum that we can take advantage of to boost the economy of Lampung province. It takes hard work and an unusual strategy to continue to explore economic potential in the regions," he said.
He said that the motto Sibu Bumi Ruwai Jurai which means Lampung is a forum for unity that accommodates various kinds of diversity must really be held firmly, in order to create optimally.
On the other hand, he continued that OJK leaders in the regions must realize that these various strategies and policies will not run successfully without cooperation and collaboration with all stakeholders in the regions.

Therefore, he continued, OJK leaders in the regions must synergize with all stakeholders, in order to realize a strong, competitive financial services sector, and play an optimal role in encouraging higher quality economic growth.
"The existence of the OJK Office in the regions plays a very important role as the spearhead in executing various OJK strategic programs and policies. In addition, OJK in the regions must also be able to increase the contribution of the financial services sector to economic growth and equitable community welfare in the regions," he added.
