KPK Will Letter Kemendikbud To The Education Office On PPDB Supervision

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it would specifically write to stakeholders regarding the acceptance of new students (PPDB). They must set an eye to prevent corrupt practices.

The KPK Spokesperson team Budi Prasetyo said that stakeholders related to the acceptance of prospective students were the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud), Ministry of Religion (Kemenag), Education Office, Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion, Service Institution (LL) Dikti, and Cooperatives.

"KPK will also write specifically to relevant stakeholders," Budi said in a written statement quoted on Thursday, June 27.

Budi said in the letter the KPK would allude to the practice of fraud in the implementation of PPDB as quoted from the 2023 Education Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI).

"With respondents consisting of students, guardians of students, educators, and leaders of education units / universities," he said.

He said stakeholders should also monitor corruption loopholes. Because, they have published the results by inviting them.

"Furthermore, the KPK will carry out monitoring and evaluation (monev) on the suggestions and recommendations that have been submitted," said Budi.

"So that the survey really has a real impact on improving the integrity of the world of education in Indonesia," he concluded.
