Three points were brought home by Felix Sanchez's side after winning 3-1 over Reggae Boyz at the Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, United States, Thursday, June 27, 2024, morning WIB.
Ecuador took the lead in the 13th minute through Jamaica's own goal. The goal came from Piero Hincapie's cross from the left, but hit Kasey Palmer's shin and the ball turned into the net itself.

Felix's team then doubled their lead through Kendry Paez's penalty just before the break. The penalty was given by the referee after handball Gregory Leigh.
Jamaica then reduced the gap shortly after halftime. They scored their first goal at the Copa America in their eighth appearance in the tournament.
Starting from Ethan Pinnock's corner which was initially blocked by Ecuador's defense. However, the ball vomit fell to Michail Antonio's feet calmly slotting the ball into the net.
Ecuador then added another score through Alan Minda. The player ended a goal party for Ecuador in the 91st minute through a classic counter-attack scheme.
This victory gave Ecuador the first point in the 202 Copa America after their first Group B preliminary match lost to Venezuela.
On the other hand, this is Jamaica's second defeat so that their chance to the knockout stages is shrinking. Previously, in the inaugural match, they had already been beaten by Mexico.
Jamaican will automatically be eliminated if Mexico and Venezuela draw or Venezuela beat Mexico. If so, the victory in the last match on June 30, 2024 will be in vain.
