OJK Chairman: Lesu Capital Market, JCI Amblas 5.4 Percent
JAKARTA - Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners Mahendra Siregar revealed the latest data on the Indonesian capital market industry. He said his current condition is less enthusiastic, as reflected in the Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) which fell 5.4 percent year to date.
Mahendra also revealed the latest data on the number of investors in the capital market. He said, the total had reached 13.02 million people.
"JCI looks down 5.4 percent ttd and the number of investors in the capital market reaches 13.02 million people," he said in a meeting with Commission XI of the DPR RI, at the DPR Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 26.
Furthermore, Mahendra said that as of June 21, 2024, the amount of fund raising in the capital market was recorded at IDR 106.21 trillion.

"With the addition of 18 new issuers," he said.
On the other hand, Mahendra revealed that in the insurance industry, guarantees and pension funds (PPDP) in the April 2024 position, it was seen that the total insurance assets showed an increase of 1.44 percent yoy, reaching Rp1,121.69 trillion.
"Meanwhile, the pension fund in April 2024 also showed an increase in total assets of 8.74 percent yoy to Rp1,432.7 trillion," he said.
