BMW Reveals The Latest M5 With Hybrid Machines And Gahar Performance
JAKARTA - BMW has officially opened a new chapter for their legendary sport sedan, M5. With a history of 40 years, this high-performance legendary sedan is entering the seventh-model generation which now has an electrification (hybrid) driving system for the first time.
In the manufacturer's release, June 26, it was stated that the debut of the latest BMW M5 will take place at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK in July 2024, with production taking place at the BMW Group Planting starting in the same month. Meanwhile, the launch of the new BMW M5 worldwide market will begin in November 2024 and be accompanied by the introduction of a new BMW M5 Touring at the same time.
The iconic V8 twin-turbo engine on the M5 still exists, but is now accompanied by an electric motor that produces more than 727 hp and a peak torque of 1,000 Nm. The combination of a high spin V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology and an electric motor, plus an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission power transfer and driving all M xDrive wheels, allows 0 to 100 km/hour car acceleration in just 3.5 seconds. Then, the highest speed is limited to 250 km/hour, but this limit can be increased to 305 km/hour with the M Driver Package.

As for the design differences with the previous generation, there are prominent wheel arches and sideskirts, front aprons that resemble carvings, and special surface models around the C pillar including the 'M5' logo that makes this wild sedan more athletic than ever before.
For the interior features, not much has been revealed, but because the hybrid engine is equipped with the BMW Iconicsounds Electric. The sound of special electric driving M that gives an authentic response to the movement of gas pedals when the car is operating in all-electric mode. With the relevant driving system configuration, it is quite highlighting the arrival of extra electric power in addition to the output of the V8 engine.
