PALU - Central Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda) said four detainees who escaped from the Biromaru Police, Sigi Regency have been arrested by the police. "Two escaped prisoners, namely AB and F were arrested on Sunday, while another detainee J surrendered and R was arrested in the jurisdiction of Tolitoli Regency on Tuesday", said Head of Public Relations of the Central Sulawesi Police, Kombes Pol Djoko Wienartono, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 26.

Prisoners with the initials F were arrested by the West Palu Police from public information, while AB prisoners were arrested elsewhere. He explained that after the incident the detainees escaped on Saturday (22/6), the Central Sulawesi Police immediately formed a joint team to pursue the detainees. After three days of pursuit, four detainees were arrested by officers, and have now been secured at the police station. "Three people are currently being held at the Biromaru Police and one person is being held at the Sigi Police, initial R as the main perpetrator who damaged the lock on the detention room of the Biromaru Police," Djoko added. He emphasized that the four detainees will be given legal sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations, checks are still being carried out to find out what their motives for escaping. "The arrest of the four escaped prisoners is evidence of the work of the Central Sulawesi Police team in handling a case," he said.

In accordance with the direction of the Central Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Pol Agus Nugroho, legal sanctions are also given to members of the National Police who are negligent in carrying out their duties.
