Xpeng Confident Model G6 Ready To Become A Tesla Model Y Challenger
JAKARTA - The manufacturer of electric vehicles from China, namely Xpeng, has started pre-ordering the G6 electric car in Australia which will be a strong challenger for Tesla Model Y.
Well, if targeting the Tesla Model Y market, the price for G6 electric cars must certainly compete, which refers to the Tesla Australia Model Y page, which is present in three variants and the lowest is priced from 55,900 Australian dollars or around Rp609 million, while the highest variant reaches 82,900 Australian dollars or Rp904 million.
Citing from the Drive page, Tuesday, June 25, the opening of the preorder for the electric SUV marks the brand's presence for the Australian market, and the official price will be announced in September.
The Chinese brand presents Xpeng G6 with two variants, namely Standard and Long, both of which have differences in distance and acceleration.
Speaking of the Standard variant of the G6 comes with a 66kWh lithium-ion battery that offers a driving range of up to 435 kilometers (WLTP standard), with one electric motor that sends 190 kW and 440 Nm of power to the rear wheels, which allows acceleration to cover a distance of 0-100km/hour in just 6.9 seconds.

Meanwhile, the Long variant is pinned with 87.5kWh battery increasing driving range to 570km (WLTP), while the power from the rear electric motor increases to 210kW (permanent torque at 440Nm) reducing 0-100km/hour time which is claimed to be 6.7 seconds.
Both of them continue to use the 800-volt 'Xpower' electric architecture, with two-way Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging which means they can provide electricity for other needs, including homes. The charging of this one car is also 10-80 percent in just 20 minutes.
In more detail, Xpeng offers five color options for the G6 in Australia, ranging from Arctic White, Silver Frost, Graphite Gray, Midnight Black, or Fiery Orange, with black or white imitation skin interiors, as well as a set of 20-inch rims to standard for both variants.
As mentioned above, it is estimated that the price of this car will be announced in September, and deliveries to customers will begin in the fourth quarter of the same year.
