SYL Finally Claims His Wife Got Monthly IDR 30 Million From The Ministry Of Agriculture

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan), Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) admitted that his wife, Ayun Sri Harahap, gets Rp. 30 million every month from the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).

This confession was conveyed when Chief Judge Rianto Adam Pontoh asked SYL's knowledge about the receipt of money by his wife

"In this case, the Minister's wife also received monthly money, did you know?" asked Judge Rianto during a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Monday, June 24.

SYL initially did not immediately deny that his wife received the money. He only argued that the monthly money had become a permanent procedure (protap) for a minister.

"Your Majesty, it's household money, then Dharma Wanita's money. These are all the procedures of all ministers, these are all official procedures including governors," said SYL.

"Rp. 15 million then up to the last Rp. 30 million. Did you know?" asked Judge Rianto.

Until finally, SYL admitted that he knew about the monthly money his wife received of Rp. 30 million per month.

"Know Your Majesty," said SYL.

"Do you know the source of the money funds that your wife received?" asked Judge Rianto again.

According to the former Governor of South Sulawesi, the monthly money did not come from the results of the sharing. But it is officially budgeted in the Ministry of Agriculture's Household section.

"Dana dari kantor Mulia, sudah ada anggaran rumah tangga saya," jawab SYL.

"And do you think it's official?" said Judge Rianto.

"I think Your Majesty believes, because time to become governor is also like that. The Deputy Governor's time is also like that," said SYL.

In this case, SYL was charged with extortion of up to Rp44.5 billion during the 2020-2023 period.

This action was carried out together with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono and the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Directorate General of Infrastructure and Facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta.

This money was used for the benefit of Syahrul's wife and family, invited gifts, the NasDem Party, religious events, aircraft charters to Umrah and sacrifices. In addition, he was also charged with receiving gratuities of Rp40.6 billion from January 2020 to October 2023.
