West Java Police Attorney Did Not Attend, Session Of Pretrial Brigadier Setiawan Postponed
The pretrial hearing of Pegi Setiawan (PS) at the Bandung District Court today was postponed because the West Java Police (Jabar) team of attorneys was not present at the inaugural trial. This was conveyed by single judge Eman Sulaiman, during the trial, Monday, June 24.
The legal team of Pegi Setiawan, Insank Nasaruddin said the trial would continue on Monday (July 1) next week. The trial was not canceled, today it has taken place, but the defendant's party (West Java Police's legal authority) who was properly summoned, was not present at the trial. Next week is the 2nd and last call," said Insank, Monday, June 24.
He said the police were considered to be stalling for the pretrial process. He was disappointed and hoped that the West Java Police's attorney would attend the 2nd summons.
"We see that there is already a lot of news that the police have formed a team to face pretrial, we as lawyers feel disappointed with this action. Do actions like this want classic reasons to be made, deliberately to be brought up so that it may be P21," he said.
On Tuesday last week, 22 attorneys for the suspect, Pegi Setiawan, filed a pretrial lawsuit against the Bandung District Court.
