Slchld Releases Single Collaboration With EaJ To Introduce New EP

JAKARTA - Canadian singer and musician of Korean descent, slchld (read: seoul-child) has finally released his latest EP entitled APOLOGY. This moment was accompanied by the introduction of a single IMAGINE which also features singer and songwriter, eaJ.

Through this EP, slchld mixed R&B and pop melodies to tell his life stories. He has applied this formula since his debut in 2018, until he built a music catalog that has succeeded in collecting millions of streams on various platforms.

Before collaborating with eaJ, the meeting between the two apparently started in cyberspace, precisely online games. The two of them loved each other for years, so the release of the single IMAGINE became a full circle moment for them.

The song IMAGINE is an introspection song of a relationship that is slowly lifeless. There is no one side to blame but we can feel the increasingly formed distance between us and that person and then a prejudice arises that we are the ones holding that person back in this relationship," said slchld in a written broadcast received by VOI.

Discussing love and struggle to survive, IMAGINE was released after a single CARE that discusses the efforts needed to overcome various challenges in a relationship.

With more than 400 million streams and a series of deep love songs, complete with meaningful lyrics and soulful vocal appearances, slchld music has proven successful in gathering millions of listeners around the world, including in Indonesia. He performed as the main performer at the 2022 Goes to Campus Jazz music festival, and tickets for his concerts in Bangkok, Singapore and Taipei were sold out. Currently, Jakarta sits 2nd in the list of cities around the world who play the most music.

Currently slchld is based in Seoul and is preparing to host a new tour for his EP APOLOGY.
