Welcoming Jakarta's 497th Anniversary, Laleilmanino Presents Djakarta With Various Music Elements

JAKARTA - Three talented composers, Laleilmanino, released a unique musical work entitled 'Djakarta', they presented this work on June 22 to celebrate the 497th anniversary of Jakarta.

In this song that takes the theme of life for Jakarta residents, Laleilmanino collaborates with several musicians to collaborate such as the Diskoria composer duo, rapper Cécil Yang, and traditional music activist Yusuf Oeblet. The various genre musicians who collaborate are the efforts of the Laleilmanino experiment to combine various musical colors according to the different human patterns of Jakarta.

Single Djakakarta itself was released under the banner of Floor Inc., one of the sub-labels from Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia which is indeed focused on EDM and hip-hop music releases.

As a lyricist, Nino Kayam revealed that the song Djakarta was inspired by his personal journey with his father and his growth and development experience in Jakarta.

This song takes a lot of stories from fathers who migrate from Kebumen to Jakarta. As an immigrant, my father often misses my hometown and gets on the train," said Nino. From that story, in this latest single, Laleilmanino told many stories of separations and encounters at Jatinegara Station.

Collaborating with Yusuf Oeblet, a traditional music activist who is also Nino's music teacher during the gray white uniform. Oeblet used Betawi's traditional friction musical instrument named Tehyan to fill several parts of the song.

"We also want to make this song Djakarta as a space and arena for traditional music to appear to narrate Jakarta. So, we invite Pak Oeblet, who has a long track record in the traditional music world, to collaborate in this song," said Nino.

Weighing traditional and modern aspects, the presence of a young rapper of Cécil Who also gives a touch of urban that is thick through his hip-hop color. The interaction between the traditional and urban in this single is a picture of the classy life patterns of Jakarta with urban areas, but is also filled with rural villages.
