Unilever Distributes 111 Percent Dividend From Net Profit, The Amount Is IDR 2.93 Trillion
JAKARTA - The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) approved the distribution of dividends worth IDR 2.93 trillion. This amount is equivalent to 111 percent of the net profit for the 2023 financial year.
Meanwhile, the company's dividend per share (DPS) is IDR 77 per share for the 2023 financial year, which will be distributed no later than July 18, 2024.
"This final dividend is taken from 2023 net profit and retained earnings balance from previous years," said UNVR President Director Benjie Yap quoting Antara.
Previously, the company had distributed interim dividends for the 2023 financial year worth IDR 2.40 trillion or equivalent to IDR 63 per share on December 8, 2023.
Thus, the company's total dividend for the 2023 financial year is IDR 5.34 trillion or equivalent to IDR 140 per share.
Benjie said that the company remains focused on strengthening and encouraging business-supporting growth this year.
"Our consistent efforts in navigating the external crisis have begun to show results this year, and we are grateful for the unwavering support from consumers, customers, partners and stakeholders in 2023," Benjie said.
In the AGMS, the company also announced a more concise composition of the board of directors, to ensure a faster and more efficient decision-making process.
"Efficient organizations will encourage us to be more agile in responding to consumer trends and sales channels, while maintaining strong accountability in achieving our goals," Benjie said.
Meanwhile, the composition of the board of commissioners and the current board of directors of the company, including: UNVR President Director Benjie Yap UNVR Director Vivek Agarwal UNVR Director Ainul Yaqin UNVR Director Enny Hartati Sampurno UNVR Director Hennie Raharja UNVR Director Willy Saelan
In the AGMS, shareholders proposed Nurdiana Darus alias Ade to be appointed as President Director of Unilever Enterprises Indonesia (UEI), if it is approved by UEI shareholders, then while continuing his senior role with UNVR as Head of Sustainability and Corporate Affairs.

The senior position is also occupied by Amaryllis Esti Wijono as General Manager of the UNVR Nutrition which will focus on encouraging competitive and profitable growth, as well as developing markets in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Hiravi resigned as the company's director.
"We thank Hira for her contribution, good luck and success on her next journey. We also strongly support Ade and Lilis who started a new chapter on their journey with the Company," said Benjie.
In 2023, the company recorded net sales of IDR 38.6 trillion, with a net profit of IDR 4.8 trillion, and a gross margin that increased by 346 basis points (bps) compared to 2022.
