Police Admit That Police Involved In Gambling Have Been Fired
The National Police did not deny that there were several gambling cases involving members of the police. However, all of them are said to have been sanctioned for dismissal, not hotmat or PTDH.
"Regarding earlier, there have been several cases of ethia's relaxation that we are making efforts to enforce the law in the field of ethics, regarding members of the National Police who are involved in gambling," said Head of the Propam Police Division Inspector General Syahardiantono to reporters, Friday, June 21.
However, it did not specify the number of Polri members who had been sanctioned due to being involved in gambling practices.
It was only conveyed that the violation was purely the police officer's personal fault. However, it was emphasized that all of them had been dishonorably dismissed.
"The gambling here is doing an act caused by him playing gambling. The data is already there and we are all PTDH," said Syahar.
Previously, Syahar said that the National Police Propam had issued a Telegram Letter to all ranks of the Bhayangkara Corps regarding the prevention and law enforcement of gambling cases.
Not only that, but the directions to the Head of Propam in all regional police ranks have also been carried out. This is done so that tiered supervision of all members of the National Police is carried out.
"We have issued several STRs related to prevention and law enforcement efforts against members of the National Police who commit violations, who are suspected of being involved in gambling activities," said Syahar.
