Firmly Brushing Up The Agents Of Naughty Players In League 1, PSSI Does Not Spread The Threat Of Prison
JAKARTA - PSSI General Chairperson (Ketum), Erick Thohir, expressed a firm stance in an effort to eradicate player agents who play behind in Liga 1 2024/2025. In order to solve the fraud, the threat of imprisonment will await in sight.
The chairman of PSSI stated that the firm threat was made to agents who were caught regulating their players for injuries and so on, especially when they were involved in match fixing.
"Pak Ferry Paulus (President Director of PT LIB) also explained how to certify player agents. Do not let these agents become new mafias, buy and sell scores," said Erick Thohir.
"Player ini tidak perlu main, pemain ini cedera teratur-atur oleh dia (agent). Tidak akan bisa. Ini juga agent yang main-main match fixing, penjarakan. Jadi, ini kita mau benar-benar," kata Erick Thohir dalam keterangan usai konferensi pers di kawasan Jakarta dikutip Jumat, 21 Juni 2024.
Erick Thohir admits that this decisive step is the way so that PSSI's plan to build a clean and good competition is not damaged by irresponsible parties.

Moreover, currently PSSI continues to improve competition by eradicating aspects that hinder the development of Indonesian football.
"Already sharing assignments with the club, there is already VAR, the referee is better, the club owners have also committed to club licensing, but there are still elements. We will brush this," he said.
One of the breakthroughs PSSI is trying to make to realize the plan is to tighten the licensing process for professional clubs. For next season, clubs that do not have a license will be sanctioned.
Therefore, starting this season all clubs are asked to improve themselves and improve their management. Those who do not want to move forward will be punished by PSSI and LIB.
"Pak Ferry also explained the rules regarding how to restore the club with such a financial control limit, part of the club's license," he said.
"Is it the player's salary, it will be explained for itself. So what? We have the same aspirations, so that clubs in Indonesia are healthy," said Erick.
