Meet Jokowi, Erick Thohir Reports Potential Cooperation With Emaar Properties
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir reported the results of his working visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). One of the reports is about the potential for cooperation with Emaar Properties.
For your information, Emaar Properties is a property development company based in Dubai, UAE and one of the largest real estate companies in the world.
"Meeting Mr. President Jokowi to report the results of my working visit to Dubai, the UAE. I explained my follow-up meeting with the founder of Emaar Properties, Mr. Mohamed Ali Rashed Alabbar, in Dubai UAE. We discuss the potential for cooperation in developing Indonesia's economic and tourism areas," Erick wrote, quoted from the official Instagram @erickthohir, Friday, June 21.
In addition, Erick also reported the results of his meeting with the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC).
"Indonesia can learn from the experience of DIFC as a financial hub, to build a Financial Center in the capital city of Nusantara," he said.
As previously reported, Erick Thohir met with the Minister of Defense and president-elect. During the meeting, the two discussed Indonesia's cooperation plan with property development company from Dubai, Emaar Properties regarding the development of Indonesian tourism.
"For about 2 hours, we discussed the visit to the UAE last weekend. We in the BUMN team discussed the follow-up to the potential for cooperation with Emaar Properties regarding the development of Indonesian tourism," he said, quoted from Instagram @erickthohir, in Jakarta, Thursday, June 20.

The investment cooperation plan began with the visit of Emaar Properties founder Mohamed Ali Rashed Alabbar last May. He met with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
After meeting with Jokowi, Erick Thohir with Mohamed Ali Rashed Alabbar also visited the elected president Prabowo Subianto.
"Some time ago, Mohamed Ali Rashed Alabbar's founder also met Mr. Prabowo in Jakarta," he said.
