Fallen Tree Impact Of Extreme Rain Hits Car In Ambon Bay, A Driver Dies
MALUKU - A fallen tree due to rain accompanied by strong winds killed a car driver in the Waelawa Hamlet area, Tawiri Village, Teluk Ambon District, Maluku.

Witness Evan Puturuhu (32) explained that when he was in front of the house, he saw a tree on the side of the road starting to tilt.

"The witness then shouted at local residents asking for help trying to evacuate the pinched driver," he said.

Then at 17.40 WIT the car driver was successfully evacuated and immediately taken by ambulance to the Dr. Leimena Ambon Central General Hospital (RSUP), but the victim was already dead.
"The police have from the start appealed to the public, both pedestrians and motorized vehicle drivers, to always be vigilant in the current rainy season from the threat of fallen trees or landslides," he said.
