As A Result Of The Cable Theft In Rawamangun, PLN Invites Residents To Also Maintain Electricity Infrastructure
PT PLN (Persero) invites the public to maintain electricity infrastructure in order to maintain a safe and reliable electricity supply. This includes maintaining PLN's infrastructure from vandalism and theft, which often causes disruption and results in customer power outages.
As happened in the Rawamangun area, East Jakarta, Sunday, June 16, 2024, there was a theft of cables inside a locked power substation. The theft had caused power outages around the substation location.
PLN Executive Vice President of Corporate & TJSL Communications Gregorius Adi Trianto asked the public to help PLN maintain electricity infrastructure around the house. Vandalism and theft, such as theft of power lines, is very detrimental, because it will have an impact on the blackout of people's electricity.
"Vandalism and theft of electrical materials by anyone will be very detrimental, especially for electricity services to residents, because it makes electricity services disrupted. Those affected are not only PLN, but also the community," said Gregorius, Wednesday, June 19.

PLN invites residents to actively report when they see any suspicious signs or behavior, both theft and vandalism around PLN's electrical installation.
"Community support can be carried out by reporting through the PLN Mobile application, where there are complaints that will be handled by officers in a responsive and fast manner," said Gregorius.
It should also be noted that to identify PLN officers when carrying out their work, they always use official uniforms accompanied by personal identification and personal protective equipment, both at the substation and in residents' homes.
