Electric Pickup Geely Radar RD6 Monitored Road Tests In Indonesia, Will It Be Launched Soon?
JAKARTA - A brand from China, Geely, seems to be preparing to return to enliven the automotive market in Indonesia, after a long hiatus.
This refers to the automotive influencer post @indra_fathan on his Instagram social media page. From VOI's observation, Wednesday, June 19, a short video can be seen showing one of Geely's models, Radar RD6 left steering wheel.
"Secretly there is a new pickup from China that is parked in Jakarta, is this a sign that Geely wants to enter Indonesia again after her old decade vacuum?", wrote the post.
As is known, Geely Radar RD6 is a 100 percent electric pickup that uses sustainable experience platforms just like Smart 1 and Zeekr 001.
This pure electric pickup uses a 272-hp electric motor with an RWD driver. There are two options, namely 63 kWh with a distance of 400 km, and 86 kWh for a distance of 550 km and 100 kWh for 632 km.

For the Chinese market, the RD6 Radar Horizon comes with all wheels (AWD) of the pickup driven by a high-performance double electric motor system with a combined power of 315 kW and a peak torque of 554 Nm, so that it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 4.5 seconds with the highest speed reaching 190 km/hour.
Not only concerned with performance, this car also has an inundation depth of 815 mm, an unloaded climbing degree of 95 percent and a climbing degree of up to 65 percent. Radar Horizon also has a turning radius of up to 3.5 meters.
In addition, this electric car also has the release of a super-external function that can generate a maximum power of 21 kW enabling this pickup to operate as a source of electric power for various activities.
Speaking of price, RWD Radar is sold from 178,800 yuan to 268,800 yuan or starting from Rp404-607 million.
Geely herself has launched its premium electric car brand for the Indonesian market, namely Zeekr which carries two models at once. Will Geely return, or use the name Zeekr for this electric pickup? Of course, it should be awaited considering that currently various manufacturers from China continue to storm the Indonesian automotive market.
