Montella Affirms Turkey Only Aims For Victory Against Georgia
JAKARTA - Turkey's National Team coach Vicenzo Montella insists his team is only aiming for victory against the Georgia national team in the Euro 2024 Group F match at Signal Iduna Park Stadium, Dortmund, Tuesday at 23.00 WIB. Quoted from the official UEFA website, Tuesday, Montella explained that the victory in the match against Georgia would smooth their way to qualify for the next round. "We didn't qualify for the group stage in our last two tournaments, so we really had to start taking points and winning matches from scratch," said Montella, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, June 18.
The former Italian national team player continued, if he and his team have ambitions to make their supporters proud by playing with enthusiasm and courage. "We have a good mix of young and talented players and people like Calhanoglu, who are experienced role models, so we have a chance," explains Montella.

"We have a lot of players who are absent from injury, but we have to focus and trust in the people here with us," he concluded. Joined in Group F, in addition to facing Georgia, Turkey also has to compete to secure tickets to qualify for the last 16 with Portugal and the Czech Republic.
