Former KPK Investigators Value Alex Marwata's Statement Code For Harun Masiku To Escape
JAKARTA - Former investigator of the Corruption Eradication Commission or the KPK, M Praswad Nugraha, assessed that the statement by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Alexander Marwata, seemed to give a code to Harun Masiku, who is a fugitive in the interim bribery case (PAW).
Alex Marwata is known to have stated that Harun Mausiku's whereabouts have been detected. In fact, in the near future he will be caught.
"Alex seemed to give a code to Harun Masiku by making such a statement," Praswad said in his statement quoted on Tuesday, June 18.
Not only that, the statement made by Alex Marwata actually hindered the investigation process. Because, with this sentence Harun Masiku knows that his hiding place is no longer safe.
"Announcing all over the world about the whereabouts of Harun Masiku is known, thus hampering the work of investigators who have worked hard to identify the whereabouts of HM fugitives," he said.
In fact, with this statement, it was considered that the KPK was not unable to arrest Harun Masiku. However, they do not want to arrest the PDIP cadre.
"Indeed, the KPK leadership does not want to arrest Harun Masiku, not yet capable," he said.

Praswad, who is now the Chair of the IM57+ Institute, also said that Harun Masiku would never be caught if there was no change of leadership. This is because efforts to prevent searches always occur.
"Harun Masiku will not be caught unless there is a change in the leadership of the KPK because according to the first statement, the leadership will not stop in the way. If Harun Masiku wants to be really arrested, the first step is to dismiss the current KPK leadership," said Praswad.
Meanwhile, Alexander Marwata had revealed that currently his party is continuing to examine witnesses. He hopes that Harun Masiku's arrest can be made in the next week.
"Incidentally, maybe if the person concerned is not caught, there is information, for example, he has been fooled into Jakarta, right, so that's it then, what, the examination of witnesses appears again," he said.
"Hopefully in one week caught. Hopefully," added Alex.
When asked about Harun Masiku's whereabouts, whether it was known, Alex said that investigators had indicated it.
"I think there are indications (the location of Harun Masiku is known), (by) investigators," he concluded.
