Minister Of Transportation: VIP Guests For Indonesian Independence Day At IKN Must Use Electric Vehicles
Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi revealed VIP guests for the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at IKN must use electric vehicles (EV).
"For VIP guests in celebrating the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at IKN, we must use an electric vehicle (EV). We will later simulate whether every ambassador of friendly countries is given an electric car or whether using an electric bus is a domain of the Ministry of State Secretariat (Setneg)," said Budi Karya Sumadi in Semarang, Central Java, Sunday.
The Minister of Transportation does not know this because it is a domain of the State Secretariat.
"I don't know yet because it is a domain of the State Secretariat to do it. But what is certain is that land transportation in IKN is divided into several functions. First is the function from outside, especially from Balikpapan to IKN, we have ride and park facilities and from there we go around using buses or cars provided or owned by private operators to get to the final places," he said.

Then, for 2025, the Buy the Service (BTS) budget has been proposed to serve the IKN route. Regarding the route plan, it will adjust to the land parcels that have been built, while the number of fleet needs is still waiting for a review and review from the OIKN team.
