DPR Asks Ministry Of Religion To Anticipate Potential Problems During The Peak Of Hajj
JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission VIII of the DPR RI as well as Member of the Supervisory Team (Timwas) of the DPR RI Hajj Ashabul Kahfi asked the Ministry of Religion which is part of the Hajj organizers to anticipate potential problems during the peak of the Hajj. Currently, during Saudi Arabia, according to him, all pilgrims from all over the world are at the peak of the hajj, namely wukuf in Padang Arafah. In the evening, he said, the congregation will start moving towards Muzdalifah and then to Mina to carry out the jumrah-throw procession.
"Our work has not been completed, we must oversee and oversee the entire process of our series of pilgrims' pilgrimages to return to their homeland," said Ashabul in an official statement received in Jakarta, Sunday.

He emphasized that the Armuzna process (Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina) is the peak of the hajj that must be carried out collaboratively. He also advised the entire organizing committee for the pilgrimage to carry out their duties with full responsibility in supervising every movement of pilgrims from one place to another.
Related to this, he also admitted that he had met with the Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas at Amirul Haj's tent in Arafah, Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, he expressed his hope that the 2024 Hajj would run without problems.
"I ask that the mobilization of pilgrims from Arafah to Muzdalifah to Mina be our common observation so that last year's Muzdalifah tragedy does not repeat itself this year," he said.
He reminded that the movement of pilgrims from Muzdalifah to Mina also needed serious attention. According to him, strict supervision of the route from Mina to Jamarat's tent is very important to be done in order to avoid the congregation from missing or mispath.
"I hope that all findings from the Supervisory Team will be used as material for our joint evaluation to improve the quality of Hajj services in the coming year," he said.
