Commission II Of The House Of Representatives Gives Green Light On Budget, AHY: We Hope There Will Be Additional
JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono or AHY said that he really hoped for an additional budget ceiling to support the work program for the 2025 period.
The statement was in response to the signal of the green light from the Deputy Chairman of Commission II, Junimart Girsang, regarding the addition of the proposed budget ceiling to Rp14 trillion.
"There is actually support, encouragement and support from the DPR, from Commission II so that the Ministry of ATR/BPN also proposes an increase in the budget," AHY told reporters in Bali, Saturday, June 15.
The application was due to a decrease in the 2025 budget with the previous year. ATR/BPN is said to have only received Rp6.5 trillion, which amounted to smaller or a difference of Rp800 billion from before.
"If asked whether it is enough or not enough, we certainly hope that there will be additional so that what we are running is sufficient," he said.
It is undeniable, said AHY, that to achieve the target given by President Joko Widodo or Jokowi regarding Agrarian Reform, registration of 126 million plots of land through a complete systematic land registration program (PTSL), requires quite a large fund.
"Because we talk about Agrarian Reform, yes, including how we can complete PTSL targets, for example, including land redistribution, land consolidation," he said.
Moreover, there are several Jokowi orders that are still far from the target. Thus, maneuvers will be carried out to fulfill it.
Deputy Chairman of Commission II of the DPR, Junimart Girsang, gave the green light for the Ministry of ATR/BPN regarding the addition of the budget ceiling to Rp14 trillion.
According to him, Commission II will encourage the addition of the aggregate to the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).

"So we will encourage it because in the commission there are also members of the Banggar (budget agency) to encourage the Ministry of Finance," said Junimart.
This is done so that ATR/BPN can work optimally. This is because the land problem intersects directly with the community.
"Not only Rp14 T, I officially asked the ATR/BPN ministry through the Secretary General to re-evaluate it, increase it, in order to support ATR/BPN's work," he said.
