Tabanan Bali Has The Opportunity To Enter The UNESCO Creative City Network, This Is The Advantage
Tabanan Regency, Bali, has the opportunity to enter the UNESCO Creative Cities Network or the UNESCO Creative City Network. This was revealed by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno.
"The opportunity is very high because Tabanan already has a legacy site, Tabanan's full steps can also be part of the UNESCO Creative City Network if he follows the picking test process," he said in Tabanan, Friday night, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, June 15.
Sandiaga in the Creative Words Workshop said that currently in Indonesia there are only five regencies/cities set by UNESCO, namely Bandung, Jakarta, Ambon, Pekalongan, and Solo.
The five regencies/cities are included thanks to their respective characteristics such as excellence in design, music, and art, so this uniqueness is also read in Tabanan Regency.
"If I saw earlier, it was interesting for the first show, but suddenly satay was presented so there is a possibility of culinary too," he said
"There are two that we haven't submitted yet, while others already exist, such as the city of design, music, literacy, folk art, but the culinary gastronomi has not yet been submitted," continued the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.

In addition to his potential advantage, Sandiaga Uno reminded that Tabanan Regency has a Subak Jatiluwih which since 2012 has been recognized by UNESCO, not to mention that the tourist area is recently being liked by tourists, including delegates from international activities.
Bekal sebagai situs warisan budaya ini menjadi peluang untuk menetapkan tidak hanya subak namun seluruh Tabanan agar diakui UNESCO.
For further work in a workshop attended by KaTa Kreatif participants, Sandiaga explained that Tabanan must take a pick test whose registration has been opened, where the local government must complete the form requested to be able to apply.
"Earlier, the Secretary of Tabanan agreed that next year we will set it into a creative city that is in accordance with UNESCO standard principles, then we propose that hopefully it can be accepted because the curation standards are quite high, we have to juxtapose our most creative products," said the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.
