Luxury Watch Robbery Case, Suspect 'image' Target For Two Days

JAKARTA - The police revealed new facts in the case of the robbery of a luxury watch shop in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 area, Tangerang Regency. The results of the examination, the main suspect with the initials HK was said to have visited the shop twice to 'image' the situation and conditions.

"The suspect HK has actually visited the shop twice," said Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Wira Satya Triputra, to reporters, Friday, June 14.

The HK suspect first visited the luxury watch shop on May 18. Then, come again a week later or May 25.

The suspect took into account the situation and condition of the watch shop by pretending to be a customer.

"The suspect's arrival at the shop is to survey the location and come as or pretend to be a customer," he said.

"This is done to find out the location where the luxury watches are displayed at the clock installation and to find out how many employees work at the shop," continued Wira.

After drawing the situation and confirming the plan is ripe, the suspect launched his action on June 8. He took 14 hours of luxury ladders of various brands worth Rp12 billion.

"The suspect carried out a robbery by preparing equipment," said Wira.

In this case, the police not only arrested HK. However, there are three other people, namely MAH, DK, and TFZ who play a role in helping the main perpetrators to sell the stolen watches.
