Pertamina Agrees On The Avtur Price Of Kertajati Airport Made Competitive
JAKARTA - PT Pertamina and the West Java Provincial Government have entered into an agreement regarding the price of avtur at Kertajati International Airport (BIJB) to be competitive, just like at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
Acting (Pj) Governor of West Java Bey▁Keputusanhi Machmudin said the agreement discussed more detailed cooperation, including from a technical point of view, including the adjusted avtur price which must be accompanied by additional flight routes.
Thus, continued Bey, the price gap which reached Rp1,130 could be reduced.
"Essentially Pertamina will provide the same avtur price as Soekarno-Hatta Airport. It's just a matter of cooperation. They ask that the decline in avtur prices be balanced with the addition of routes, of course we will try," Bey said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 14.
This competitive avtur price is a potential that can be maximized by the West Java Provincial Government to cooperate with airlines, considering that currently efforts to maximize the aviation ecosystem at BIJB Kertajati continue.
Meanwhile, BIJB President Commissioner, Dedi Taufik, said that so far the flight routes served by Kertajati Airport are Denpasar, Kualanamu and Balikpapan, then there is an international route service with the aim of Malaysia.
Bali route is the route with the most flight frequency, in a day there are three flights, the Kualanamu and Balikpapan routes operate four times a week.
Meanwhile, international flights, namely the Malaysian route, operate four times a week, namely on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
"The average passenger occupancy rate is quite high, with a figure above 75 percent. Currently, our focus is optimizing services and adding routes. Everything is in process," said Dedi, who also serves as Head of West Java Bapenda.
Regarding the plan to add routes, for domestic routes, Kertajati Airport will open flight routes to Makassar and Pontianak. Meanwhile, international flights will have Singapore routes.
Based on the plan, the route will be served by airlines operating at Kertajati Airport, there are five airlines consisting of Super Air Jet, Citilink, Malaysia Airlines, Air Asia Indonesia and Air Asia Malaysia.
His party is also working with relevant stakeholders to provide incentives in the form of hotel discount programs, tourism and intermodal modes to and from Kertajati Airport.
"This also applies to residents in the Central Java area," he said.
Furthermore, Dedi Taufik said Kertajati Airport served 13,200 Hajj Pilgrims from West Java, which departed from May 11, 2024, until June 10, 2024 with a status of On Time Performance (OTP) of 100 percent.
