Hajj Officers Ready To Welcome Pilgrims In Arafah

MAKKAH - Saudi Arabia's Hajj Organizing Officer (PPIH) who is part of the Armuzna Operations Task Force is preparing to welcome pilgrims in Arafah who will start moving from the hotel to the wusuf location starting Friday.

"We have prepared all the officers. We hope that when the implementation in Arafah everything will run smoothly, well," said Head of the Arafah Ali Machzumi Task Force in Makkah as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 14.

Hajj officers were already in Arafah on Thursday midnight. They are members of 11 Ad Hoc sectors that oversee 1,169 maktab or tents that will be filled with 213,275 regular Indonesian Hajj candidates.

When they arrived in Arafah, the Hajj officers immediately checked a number of facilities such as the condition of tents/maths, the availability of water, toilets, air conditioning, and the number of mattresses.

Secretary of the Arafah Task Force, Abduh Dhiya'ur Rahman, each maktab has a varying size. Starting from those with a capacity of 100 to 300 Hajj candidates.

"Electricity and air conditioning are running well, water is also available," he said.

According to him, checks will continue to be carried out regularly until the congregation occupies their respective activities.

The officers will also be on guard at every matab, to ensure that the tents used by Indonesian pilgrims are not occupied by worshipers from other countries.

"The tents must be ready to be used when the pilgrims come and it is certain that there will be no one else, apart from regular Indonesian pilgrims who are entitled to be in tents," he said.
